This is a vintage Levi's 646 Big E.
It's a 646 in a deep, pre-dyed navy blue.
It has an orange tab with a Big E and the hem is unfinished, but it's in excellent condition.
Usually, this type of denim is called "bat dyed" indigo, but this is likely made with a general dye and woven with pre-dyed yarn. While you see this with other brands, it's not very common with Levi's.

The condition is excellent, with the patch and tab still intact, and the fabric still has a good feel for being almost 50 years old.
The hem is different from regular indigo, so it shouldn't look too strange if you hem it.
