1. Carrier/round case - 6"H (15.24CM) and 8 3/4" (22.23CM)diameter.
2. Tray/plate - about 8" (20.3CM) diameter and about 1" (2.5CM) tall
3-8. - 4 cylinders with lids (counting each piece) - 3 matching jars - about 3"H x 2 5/8" diameter (7.62 x 6.67cm)+ * Smallest jar - about 2 7/8"H x 2" diameter (7.3cm x 5cm)
9-12. - 2 urn-shape jars with lids - about 2" (5CM) tall
12-14. - 2 rings for the urn-shape jars - 3"D x 1 1/2"H (7.62CM x 2.54CM)
These lockboxes were made with great pride and quality to securely house these monetary commodities! Spices were used as currency in many cases and utilized through various religious ceremonies in the Islamic traditions.
This spice box and all its pieces are hand-hammered out of copper with hand-forged hardware. The outside is decorated with unusual designs (look like leaves and other decorative elements).
The hardware - lock/bracket and handle are very heavy.
