Silk Chiffon fabric is a sheer and luxurious fabric with an airy drape and distinctly soft feel. Sourced from 100% natural and hypoallergenic silk, the silk fibers in Silk Chiffon are woven in a plain style weave with tightly twisted, alternating s-twist and z-twist crepe yarns. This special weaving process creates puckers in Silk Chiffon which gives the fabric its crisp feeling and slightly rough texture. This Silk Chiffon measures a luxurious 10 mommes, the standard unit of measurement for weighing silk, which gives this fabric a fuller feel and drape when compared to lighter momme silk chiffon alternatives. Silk Chiffon fabric is thin and lightweight at 0.13 millimeters thick and 30 GSM (or approximately 2 ounces per linear yard) and measures 44/45 inches in width.
