Shark Tooth

HUGE! Over 4 inches long! This is a beautifully preserved megalodon shark tooth fossil specimen. This is an exceptionally large and substantial tooth. There is a general consensus that this tooth is from an extinct family closely related to the great white shark although the subject is still debated. It’s estimated that this fossil is between 2 to 23 + million years old. Yes that’s MILLION! This particular piece is black in the jaw area and cloudy light and dark brown in the tooth. If you look carefully you can still see some of the serration on the tooth. Included with this very large tooth will be a small tooth that is approximately 7/8 of an inch fossilized shark tooth.
