The Pentax ME is supposed to be a fully automatic SLR film camera and although this concept sounds amazing on paper, it unfortunately is not as bulletproof as many of the company’s other cameras such as the K1000, KX, or even the MX (the ME’s fully manual twin). It is a very beautiful looking camera, but the advance lever does not work and the mirror appears to be stuck facing up. As much as I love Pentax cameras, I do not have the time or patience to fix it myself nor am mechanically savvy enough. If you’re looking for parts for your own Pentax ME, then this may be a great candidate for a donor body. I also believe that it can be restored back to its former glory if that’s what you’re interested in. I look forward to interacting with my fellow film photography enthusiasts. Thank you :)
