Live Marimo algae ball necklace. Only one piece available. 5mm circa marimo moss ball inside 19mm diameter glass ampoule with stainless steel screw allowing for water changes. 56cm long stainless steel chain with lobster clasp (also stainless steel) The water should be changed approximately once per week in the summer and once a month during colder seasons. It can be stored at room temperature away from direct light sources in the summer when wearing it outside isn’t recommended due to marimos’ sensitivity to hot weather. Comes with a pipette for easy water change, the operation can also be done with any syringe. More detailed instructions and care tips - While marimo moss balls are sensitive to heat, wearing during colder months and/or above clothing layers ensures your little friend remains healthy. A few days in the fridge or an extremely tiny pinch of salt (about 3/4 of a teaspoon per liter) while avoiding direct sunlight exposure are all your marimo would need to thrive and stay healthy for a lifetime. Fertilizer is not necessary nor recommended as marimo is a naturally slow growing algae and trying to boost its growth could actually stress and kill it. Carbonated water can be used as a more appropriate alternative to give it a little spa treatment.
