Tip Tinner is a mixture of solder powder and thermally stable, oxide-reducing compounds. Tip Tinner provides better cleaning and re-tinning of highly oxidized soldering iron tips than wet sponge or rosin-cored wire. APPLICATION: While maintaining soldering iron at operating temperature, roll or wipe soldering iron tip over the surface of Tip Tinner for a short time. Prolonged contact may create excessive fumes. Under normal usage, the fumes are very minimal and usually stop within seconds after soldering iron is withdrawn from the Tip Tinner. The residue remaining after heating is minimal and non-corrosive. It can be readily removed by wiping with a wet sponge.
