The ultra-flat stone top of this tool offers a stable surface ideal for the included abrasive sheet for sanding and smoothing the uneven or pitted soles of kanna planes, keeping them in optimal condition. Additional abrasive sheet sold separately. Designed for precision restoration of Japanese Kanna, and other flat soled wood body planes, it suits both professionals and dedicated hobbyists. Position the sole of your plane on the abrasive sheet and move the plane, using consistent pressure, in a back-and-forth motion. Replace abrasive sheets when worn.
