This is a very nice example of a 1911 Canadian penny missing part of the motto (Dei Gratia). That translates into Thank God. That is why it is known as the godless penny. This is perhaps the most incredible error coin ever produced. It is almost unbelievable that an oversight like that could happen!! A must for any collection.
