This enables the combination of a firm, rigid outer shell and a full-length sole plate while still offering great freedom of movement for climbs. Fiberglass-reinforced polyamide supports the construction's rigidity. The low weight makes the climb easier while the rigid structure offers loss-free power transfer, outstanding performance, and great ski control on the descent. The two-piece dual link cuff enables a 65° range of movement and is securely locked with a non-stretch Dyneema cord so as to provide lateral stability. Above-average heel hold is guaranteed by the quick lacing system (QLS), which is adjusted by turning a wheel. The ultra-light, high-quality ID Touring liner can naturally be adapted to the shape of the foot. A profiled Vibram rocker sole with varying hardness offers good grip in the snow when walking and climbing plus smooth power transfer to the binding and ski.
