Beautiful, detailed and functional cowrie shell necklace by designer and photographer Coreen Simpson. She designed this for Avon in the 1990’s. The necklace is made of graduated gold tone shells and can be worn lariat style or as a regular necklace.
The piece is substantial and weighs 4.8 ounces and is 23” long. The smaller shells are approximately 1.2” by .8”. The larger pendant shell is 1.6” by 1.1”. It is in excellent vintage condition with minimal wear. Please refer to the photos for condition.
