Jean Marlowe played for the AAGPBL as a pitcher and utility...primarily a pitcher, while also seeing action at 1st base, 2nd base and outfielder. Her last name is really Malanoski, but she acquired her last name in the league as a result of misspelling. In 1948 Jean played for the Springfield Sallies. From 1949- 51 Jean played for the Kenosha Comets. In 1952 Jean played for the Kalamazoo Lassies. She did not play in 1953 but resumed playing for the Kalamazoo Lassies in 1954. She is in Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame.
