I found this heavy ring around the remains of an early 1800s house site in Orlean, Va in 2014 along with lots of flat buttons and few large cent. Not sure if its made of thick brass or perhaps of bronze. On the front is a Templar type cross flanked by shields on the side bevels. No inscription inside the ring but on the outside of bottom rim is “ WWO + KC”. You can tell its old due to weight, design and the fact that the etched artwork was done by hand.
