Rare Ardalt Uva Bianca 5183 Covered Compote Majolica, Applied Grape Vine Motif.
Wow, just look at this find!
This ornate and very elegant compote (or comport, if you prefer) is covered and has rich grapes and leaves running the circumference of the dish as well as the foot and acting as the handle for the lid.
This stands about 8.5” in diameter and 7” tall.
There is a very small loss to the glazing on the lid. No other chips or losses are noted, though I don’t guarantee that there are not any other chips, as there are so many facets and small details on this piece, along with the white color, that it would be very easy to miss something.
